The Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT, Minister: Lim Hyesook) established and finalized the action plan 2022, which audits the past year’s achievements obtained under the 4th Basic Plan to Nurture and Support Talent in Science and Technology(‘21~’25).
In order to implement the four strategies, 14 agenda and 280 projects of the Basic Plan, MSIT and related public agencies decided to increase the investment volume for 2022 to 8.843 trillion won(US $7.2 billion) from 5.135 trillion won(US $4.1 billion) of last year.
The key four strategies of the action plan include efforts to nurture young talent in the digital field, to foster an environment where young researchers can become a leading player in science and technology, to tap into a wider range of workforce including women, and to improve related legal frameworks and enhance the global talent exchanges.
