< MSIP hosts 'Korea 3D Showcase' at MIPTV 2013 in Cannes >

   The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning (MSIP) opens 「Korea 3D Showcase」 at MIPTV 2013 in Cannes, France from April 8th to 11th with an aim to explore foreign markets for Korean 3D contents.

The Showcase will provide demonstrations of 3D contents in three categories of documentary, entertainment and animation. Furthermore, 4K (Ultra HD) 3D contents that boast four times better picture quality than HD will be introduced.

The event is expected to introduce a total of 60 outstanding 3D contents to foreign producers and buyers. Furthermore, on the sideline of the exhibition, one on one meeting between participating Korean companies and 3D contents buyers from 8 countries including the U.S., the U.K., France, Canada, the Netherlands and Australia will be held.

At the meetings, 3D videos will be presented to the foreign buyers directly and ways to procure production cost through pre-sale will be sought actively. On top of this, ways to cooperate through initiatives such as co-production will be discussed.
